Why Create a POP Moment?

I babysit my twin granddaughters who are turning 4 this week! I pledge to make popcorn and share it when we're watching movies together!
All electronic gadgets are off and we are on the couch, even our fur baby, watching a good movie!

I taught my son to pop popcorn from scratch on the stove and now that is the only way he likes it. We experiment with different oils and spices. We have so much fun cooking together and actually talking to each other.
Movie night with a big bowl of Jolly Time Popcorn, fresh out of the popper with butter and salt lasts just until the opening credits are thru. Need a bigger bowl.

We rode our bicycles to a local outdoor shopping area and spent the afternoon at our favorite spot chatting and reading.

It was great. We cut off the cell phones and disconnected the router over the weekend, turning them back on Monday morning!
My husband & I like to connect with our boys by watching Classic Movies from our childhood (like Karate Kid). Of course, a movie isn't the same without some good old fashioned popcorn!
Go to the park, and go on a walk to feed the ducks...
I will serve popcorn as a vegetable during my next family meal, because after-all, it is a vegetable! LOL!

Our POP moment was a girls sleepover party where someone hit the bowl of popcorn and it flew all over the place and then the girls turned it into a popcorn fight!
I pledge to summer nights. Around the fire outside making our family favorite smores and caramel popcorn!
Make popcorn garland and hang it in the trees in the backyard to feed the squirrels and birds!
I will spend time with my two Divas: mom and my sister and we'll binge watch our favorite shows like Scandal! We'll scream, cry and yell at the tv because the show is sooo scandalous!
Have more family game night with my family by playing board games in the living room, with our favorite '80's movies in the background!
Have A Giant Movie Night With All 9 Of My Sisters So We Can Spend More Quality Time With Each Other Instead Of Always On the Phone :)
My pop moment was a whole day of no social media! A very hard task, seeing as my spouse is a long haul truck driver and our communication is via social media but we did it. Took the time with the kids and went to the park and took a few pictures. Then I enjoyed a good book an a relaxing bath after a playing a board game with the kids.

Family game night once a week. Winner picks dinner for next week's get together. Losers have to cook the dinner together.
My dog and I have POP moments 3-4 times a week. She sits by the microwave waiting for it to stop.
I taught my nephew with autism how to count using popcorn.
